Five Fifteen & Private Line
On The Rocks, Helsinki

Private Line started their set in front of a meanwhile filled OTR with good old „Makin’ a mess since 77“. While they begun to rock, they got their audiece from the very first second. Between a lot of photographers (too much as some might say) there where lots of fans getting enthusiastic by the music and the active live performance of Private Line. They continued with “Gods of Rewind” and “Uniform” before they got to the 21st Century Album with “1-800 out of Nowhere”. The audience was more and more going crazy and the band as well.
While “Already Dead” Sammy lost his microphone somehow. It fell in front of stage but he continued singing and laughed as all the others on stage and in front of stage did as well. A girl picked it up for him, the show went on and everybody could hear Sammy singing again. Next song was “Sound Advice” with one acoustic guitar as well as the last song “Billion Star Hotel” where Illu played his usual Les Paul and not an acoustic one this time. “Evil Knievel Factor” was much harder as the version known from CD, it really rocked. While “Cheerleaders and Dopedealers” Sammy took Spit’s bass and Spit took over the place in the center of stage and the microphone, where he sang. (Sorry, I don’t know the song, it was something in Finnish.)
“Prozac Nation”, “Alive” and “Broken Promissed Land” from the current album “Evil Knievel Factor” followed before the regular show found an end in “Billion Star Hotel”.
The audience didn’t let the guys go and so they came back with two unplanned encores. “Downstairs Upstairs” and “Live Wire” which was wished by the audience.
All in all the songs were harder as the CD versions and it was a very great show with a band in a good mood. They could have played much more encore but every good thing has to find an end by time.
Private Line? Always again!
